Highest Bonfire Yet! Dull cymbal garbage can lids, shrill trumpets, wooden blocks snapping and cans rolling on rough pavement brought an atmosphere that was synonymous with homecoming. Drenching rain and soaking feet are an added specialty at OSU which never dampens the spirits of the parade. The rooks added to the enthusiasm with the highest bonfire yet. 26

Centennial Means Float Building The centennial celebrations on November 20 confronted the ASOSU and IFC counsels with a special problem—float building. Because of the lack of experience, completion of the floats occurred the day before the centennial parade. The school's band also filled the parade with brilliant color and sound. As memories of centennial parades, speakers and concerts fade away so does the art of float building for another 100 years. 25 I

Christmas is More Than Finals and Vacation Dead week, finals, the term is coming to a close. Students are busy reading books that were going to be read before the midterm, researching term projects in a weekend, and studying for that final that will make or break this terms gradepoint. A stroll through the MU brings a chance to relax and realize there is more to Christmas than finals and vacation. An old fashion caroling party with candles and hot chocolate, sponsored by the MU, helps brighten dead week. For a few this would be their last re-memberance of OSU. 27
