OSU REACHES OUT Fall term, along with the rain, the campus was deluged with celebrities. In November, “If I had a Hammer” rang out to a spellbound audience. Undaunted by paper airplanes, Peter, Paul and Mary captured the heart of OSU. The MU Ballroom was crowded weekly as talented students performed in Friday Variety. Victor Borge came—jack of all talents: musician, comedian and singer.

CHRISTMAS IN CONTRAST A busy, bustling, gay time — Yuletide season at Oregon State — Class Christmas trees brighten the MU. The senior tree wins as usual, despite the original decorations and hard work of other classes. The MU Christmas party completes the scene . . . Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the invasion of hundreds of beaming children. The All Campus Sing —flick of candles and students gather in the quad, bundled in sweatshirts, coats, scarves, and mittens to keep out the nipping air. Students together for a few minutes to share the Christmas spirit before vacation.
