The coun- cil is composed of the president of the college, the chancellor of the Oregon State System of Higher Education, the deans of the schools, tlie directors of the principal divisions and other executive ollicers. Acting in an advisory capacity to the pres- ident, the council approves all curricula, course changes, tudent traditions and granting of degrees. By this system the instructors in llii- clc|)artments are kept in touch willi institu- tional policies and activities.
