For many years the College has turned out men prepared to search out, produce, and pre- pare for use, the metals so needed by modern industrial life. STATE Efficiency and economy in building roads calls for the services of hundreds of high- way engineers. Up to the present time the state has used every available man qualified for this work by the College, and is still asking for more. Obviously, Oregon trained men, understanding Oregon condi- tions, are an advantage to the stale in the solution of perplexing points in road building.
