It means the seniors will strive for the best and eventually their goals will be mm. On May 26, 1985, 68 seniors received their diplomas from school board President Richard Krahulik. The guestspeakerforthe ahen noon was Pastor Jerry Petersen. He spoke on prospenng and touched the nnnds of aH. The 95th annual commencement and baccalaureate exercmes concwded wnh the Rev Don Studley giving the benediction. The master of ceremonies was Doug Duda who gave the welcome and introduced the entertainment which was provided by the 18th Street Signers. Outstanding senior boy and girl awards were given to Brian Goodsell and Kayla Peters. Valedictorian was Tam- my Vancura and the Salutatorian was Dana Zlomke. This year, Mr. Carl Streeter was the recipient of the Teacher of the Year award. l-le has been the Biology and Physiology teacher at Ord High for the past tive years. Kayla Peters was awarded the choral award and the band award as being a fine musician. The Knights of Columbus Scholarship, Flikli Health Profession, and B.P.W.C. Scholarships were awarded to Kim Michalski. The B.P.O.E. Scholarship was given to Mary Bruha and the Ord Education Association awarded Tony Ouattrocchi and Linda Setlik with scholarships. Other awards were given to Michelle Bonne, Kevin Bosworth, Teresa Bruha, Kim Clement, Brad Dowse, Stacie Dowse, Doug Duda, and Jill Hurlbert. Receiving the Distinguished Educator Award is the Home Economics teacher, Mrs. Wright. I I P Awarded with the Chanticleer emblem is Kevin Osentowski and Steve Penas.
