eek spa w 4.4 L Spirit Week The Year of the Olympics was the theme for 1984-85. The homecom- ing festivities started with the students dressing up in formal wear, sweat suits, ties, inside-out clothing, and the usual red and white day. Students showed their enthusiasm and spirit by dressing accordingly. The Chanticleers defeated the Adam Central Patriots. Crowning of the King and Queen was held after the game at the Vet's Club due to the rainy weather. Kim Clement and Brian Meese were crowned by the reigning royalty of 1983-84, Kathleen Warner and Tad Melia. Later the Ord High Students en- joyed dancing to the music of 'tlnasensef' The Year ofthe Olympics :'r 1 Sophomore DeeLinn Goodsell expresses her manly side on Tie Day. 50 Spirit Week Showing off their most formal attire are seniors Kim Mlchalskl, Jill Hurlbert, Kayla Peters, and Vicky Wagner. JOBS UI N L O U' m JOBS 1985 was a year that students learned that they could no longer rely on their parents for the extra money for the movie or for the gas needed for the car. Many people learned the responsibilities of havig a part time job. Showing up on time, being dependable, and doing the best at whatever was ex- pected of you. Jobs ranged from babysitting, farm work, food facilities, dental offices, and taking care of the elderly. Every job is very important because it prepares a person for the future. With the poor economy, jobs were a necessity for all. Q.
