She teaches numerous classes that include Child Development, Teen Survival, Adult Living, and FHA. Adult Living is a required course for the seniors, this year a new project was added which in- volved mock marriages. Couples had to face the problems that in- O volved economic and socialistic ITT affairs, that young people must face when they enter marriage. Busy working in the Adult Living class are Mrs. Wright, Mike Eiyschon, Tammy Arnold, Sondra Lott and Bryan Foth. Mrs. Johnson looks up as she hears the camera man say smile Mrs. Johnson teaches Home Economics to the 7th and 8th grade students. The student is required to study nutrition, grooming skills, and basic knowledge of child care. ln the 8th grade class, the student will ac- quire a basic knowledge of clothing care and repair. The senior Government class, taught by Mr. Machal, is offered for only one semester. ln the class, students are made aware of their responsibilities as active citizens and to become involved in watching and reading the daily news. Students are quizzed weekly on the worlds current news events, Students also have to write papers on a variety of government issues. Qgf i Mr. Hersh points to where the ancestors of his family came from. American History, taught by lvir, Hersh, is a re- quired class for Juniors. The objectives of this class are to give the students a basic understanding of our American Heritage and to relate past American History to present world happenings. Mr. Hersh also shows educational television programs and plays simulation games to improve students learning abilities. Academics Mr. Machal lectures to his class during his Social Studies. Mr. Machal watches over his class as they read their assignment.

Concentraling on his drawing for Advanced Art is Senior Brian Arnold. Mr. Leo Lauver instructor for the Fine Arts department, says photography is becoming more and more popular in the art field. Student's learn to load, develop, and print film. Introductory Art is offered for the 7th and 8th graders. This class learns the basic skills of right mode, brain thinking, field perception, perspectives, and shading. The Advanced Art class works with right mode, field of depth, pot- tery, printmaking and watercolor. Drama and Speech are types of a Fine Art and these classes are taught by Miss Freberg. p-up nik Mr. Leo, Clint Ellingson, and Jesse Nelson compromise on a decision. 42 Academics Kerri Hackel and Pam Weems used their talents in Drama. Can you figure out what this is'?? Nope, lt's called a photogram.
