Mat Experience Valuable Tom Kruml struggles to pin his opponent. The junior varsity wrestlers had numerous opportunities to com- pete during the season. Besides wrestling in the dual meets, they also were involved in a number ot junior varsity tournaments and quadrangulars, The team attend- ed quadrangulars at Aurora and St. Paul. Tournaments were held at Spalding Academy and Broken Bovv. Members of the Jr. Varsity Team were: Dan Klimek, Joel Petersen, Joey Ptacnik, Bruce Schmitt, Joel Anderson, Russ Ostrander, Randy Ftyschon, Son- ny Plugge, and Tom Martens. Seniors Highlight Season It was a disappointing year as tar as overall results were con- cerned. Ot the 19 squad members, approximately halt ot them were first year wrestlers. and ot those 19 there were only two seniors. The future definitely holds some hope. said Coach Shrader. The two seniors. Mike Kruml and Mike Sexson had good seasons. Mike Kruml had the best season of his career with a 17-9 record. and a position in the top 10 career pins list. At the conference tourney. Mike Sex- son earned a 4th place medal alter coming back trom an injury, Two juniors added a lot of punch and they were: C. B. Moudry and Tom Kruml.
