Under the direction of Clayton Steele, the reserve football team finished with a 3-3 record as they beat Albion, St. Paul, and Broken Bow. The final game that they played was with O'Neill, which featured two overtimes and was very exciting for the players, coaches, and fans. The reserves gained valuable ex- perience with the reserve games, and this experience should pay off-dividends as they move into varsity games next year and years following said Coach Steele. Freshmen Learn System The Freshmen had a suc- cessful football season in 1984 under the mentorship of Coach Paul Machal. They worked very hard to improve sw, the football technique. The as.-2. Freshmen finished the season with a 2-1 record and played a 1-1 season in two combina- tion games between the Freshmen and Sophomores.
