'YAA.v Q X S, Senior Class History Senior! A small but triumphant word for this year's graduating class! It hardly seems possible, but we've--all thirty-one of us--lived through the four years of high school. After the kidding as greenies we now feel we have some place in our school. Our sophomore year was one when we weren't green freshmen or we weren't juniors ready for presenting a play and promg we were just at the in-between stage. Next, naturally, followed the junior year. During this year, we presented our first class play, There She Goes! It was a comedy-mystery type of play which was well received. A Now we are seniors! We have presented our last high school play, a comedy entitled Brother Goose. As seniors, we have representatives in all the organizations, many of whom hold the offices of leader- ship. We had the following members on the football squad: Jack Armstrong, Larry Heitz, Don Kaiser, Larry Mains, Jim Price, Gerry Rinehart, and Bill Samuelson. Later in the year, Don Kaiser, Larry Heitz, Bill Samuelson, and Jim Price represented the class as members of the basketball team. Backing them were senior cheerleaders: Joyce Griffin, Susan Hefty, Judy Maass, and head cheerleader, Linda Shippy. Mr. Shuman's senior homeroom won the school's annual magazine drive with the high percentage sales of S358.80. Senior, Marlis Buehler brought down the top magazine sales honor with a new high total of S182.50. Another honor bestowed on the senior class of '59 was the selection of Bill Samuelson as the most valu- able player of Stephenson Conference by the players of the conference basketball teams. Now we are only a few short weeks away from being out in the world on our own. We would sincerely like to extend our appreciation to all the faculty members who have, in the past four years, taught, to the very best of their abilities, the qualities of citizenship and knowledge we so urgently need for the years to come. 17 SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS President . . .
