HOIVIECOIVIING 1985 his year's Homecoming was a tremene dous success!!! The ASB did a great job organizing the pregame activities and everything went smoothly. The ceremony was slightly altered by the extraordinary Class of '86, which decided to bring their entire four years of royalty in to crown this year's court. Several convertibles were borrowed from lo- cal dealers to drive the old court up in style. For the 85-86 court, each class produced a float, based on the theme of The Four Sea- sons. The seniors did well with their season fwinterb and their float was a real Winter Wonderland . Over 200 balloons were let loose as the float met the crowd to reveal the snowy scene. The juniors did well, also, re- ceiving second place in the competition. A huge mural of a wave set the summery scene, with a sandcastle, real sand, and even a car to add to their float. The sophomores had a bright float to go along with their season of spring. Their giant rainbow showed alot of hard work by the class of '88. The freshmen showed some real freshmen personality with their autumn scene - a barn and a scarecrow. The week preceding Homecoming stirred up junior-senior rivalries - the seniors coming up victorious not only in the Halloween egg wars, but in the float competition as well. Way to go '86! After the new court was introduced and the floats all took them away, the ASB spon- sered a huge fireworks display to fire up the crowd before the game. The Homecoming game against Fallbrook was probably the most exciting and crowded of the season. OG had more alumni back this year than we have had in a long time. Cheerleaders from ten years ago came to cheer on the team and reminisce. Og put up a tough fight against Fallbrook, but ended up on the short end of the stick. Although the game wiped us out of the playoofs, we had a great season and a football team to be proud of. Homecoming '85 was definately a success! i .ff
