New Challenges Accepted Cheerfully by Clubs Enjoying each other ' s friend¬ ship was the leading char¬ acteristic of the French Club this year. Funds were raised by selling candy, working in a gift wrapping booth and a dance. These funds went towards the an¬ nual trip over Easter vaca¬ tion. The club has 75 mem¬ bers, with Bob Buchner as President, and Ken Johnson as Vice-President. The main goal of the Span¬ ish Club this year was to get students together who were interested in Spanish speak¬ ing cultures. The club went on various field trips, in¬ cluding the planned trips to the Ramona Pageant and a Bull-fight. The group also participated in donating various materials to Project Hope. There are 30-35 mem¬ bers and the president is Trixie Hicken. 28

CSF—A Rewarding Experience To encourage and reward academic achievement was the main goal of the enthusi¬ astic CSF Club this year. Their purpose: to inspire academic excellence in every boy and girl. Each year the club takes two Honor Day field trips to knowledgeable places. The funds come from the monthly dues and are used to pay Chapter dues and for scholarships. There are approximately 143 members, and the club is presided by Beverly Elrod- President, and Mrs. McKnight, Adviser. A.
