Think of the variety of terrain and scenery . Only thirty minutes away is the appeal that California is noted for. . . its coast. We spend our summers there, some of us, our life. Years from now we'll remember the parties, riding the waves, or just soaking up the rays until the blazing sun' falls into the ocean . . . we treasure those mg-ments spent with our friends. Two hours away lies another colorful kind of scenery. . . the desert. We identify with it around Easter as we head for Borrego or Occatilla. The desert provides us with terrain for buggy-riding or just camping out to wake up to a magnificent sunrise. Yes we are fortunate to live close to two commandingly beautiful and different spectacles of nature. I. A. Typical desert plant life thriving out by Borrego. B. A desert cactus stands tall - and alone. C. View of the desert on the way to Oecatilla. D. One of the many beautiful coast sunsets. E. The class of 1974 leaves its mark in the sand. F.
