Candy Ballard; Press Sec. Gena St. Denis. This year the Spanish Club joined with the other language clubs at Orange Glen in order to gather goods and clothing to take down to an orphanage in Tijuana. Mrs. Ann Levsen was adviser again this year. Latin Club LEFT TO RIGHT: Counsel, Pat Harrild; Treas. Terry Clanton; V. Pres. Chuck Dunn; Sec. Sharon Shields; Pres. Jerry Morris; Adviser, Miss Mary Ann Coyne. The main purpose of the Latin Club is to stimulate an interest in the language and in Roman customs and legends. This year the club and its adviser. Miss Mary Ann Coyne, journeyed to San Jose to attend a convention. Also on the list of the Club ' s activities was its participation in the Tijuana project. German Club For the past year the German Club was quite busy planning activities in appreciation of German culture. One of the highlights of the year was a Christmas dinner and polka party. French Club Under the supervision of Mr. Dale Baldridge, members of the French Club were encouraged to gain an interest in French culture. MEMBERS, LEFT TO RIGHT: Herbert Van Hoose, Pat Van Hoose, John Hanson, Terry LaGrone, Hal Trebes, Frank Svoboda, Greg Prior, Tom Bowden, Jim Nessler, Steve Adam¬ son, Russell Gandee. As an international organization, the Interact Club serves both school and community. The Rotary Club acts as its sponsor to help the club promote greater understanding between people. This year they sent sixty dollars worth of food to Tijuana to help along with Orange Glen ' s Tijuana project. Senior Play Guilty or not guilty this was the verdict which the jury, drawn from the audience, for each performance had to decide when the senior class presented the ploy. The Night of January 16th by Ayn Rand. Defense attorney, Jim Hinrichs, que s tioning a suspect, Sandi Woline, under the direction of the Judge, Greg Krueger, and director, Mr. John Damelio. Attorneys keep peace during courtroom battle. The class of ‘67 successfully used alternating casts for this famous courtroom drama. The plot revolved around Karen Andre played by Dorothy Guerrero and Vicki Steverson, who was on trial for murder. She was de¬ fended brilliantly by Attorney Stevens played by Jim Hinrichs in spite of a strong case presented by the prosecuting attorneys por¬ trayed by Greg Krueger and Don Chaffin. 25

Russian Club Just formed this year under the supervision of Miss Strode, the Russian Club has been quite busy learn¬ ing about Russian culture both old and new. The club has held such events as meetings in which to discuss Communism. LEFT TO RIGHT: Pres. Sharon Noone, V. Pres. Jerry Morris, Sec. Diane Larzarlere, Treas. Terry Clanton. FTA The purpose of the Future Teachers of America Is to generate interest in the teaching profession. Their goal for the future is to start a Cadet Teaching Pro¬ gram to help students become involved in teaching. The adviser is Mrs. Allen. LEFT TO RIGHT: V. Pres. Beth Strong, Pres. Sue Simpson, Sandy Judson, Sec. Linda Farrow, Mrs. Dorothy Allen. MISSING: Treas. Kathy Whelan. Debate Club MEMBERS, LEFT TO RIGHT: Pete O ' Connell, Robert Schaible, Steve Kane, Steve Adamson, and Ruth Herman. High points of this year ' s speech activities were: the Palomar J. C. debate, the North County Speech League tournament, first place won by Pete O ' Connell in the American Legion speech tournament, the Voice of Democracy tournament won by Sue Simpson, and the semi-finals reached by Pete O ' Connell at the San Diego State College speech tournament. The future looks bright for the club since all debaters will return In 1967-1968. Literary Club LEFT TO RIGHT: Treas. Margy Miller, Pres. Beth Strong, V. Pres. Frank Svoboda, Mr. Robert Marsala. The Literary Club this year has gone to see several outstanding motion pictures. Including Dr. Zhivago, and Hawaii. They also published the third Issue of the Literary Magazine, under the supervision of Mr. Marsala. 27
