Vice-President, James Rehkopf 1966 - 67 The main objectives that Orange Glen ' s 1966-67 student government has strived to achieve include the following: To develop attitudes of, and give practice in, good citi¬ zenship; to assist school management; to provide training ground for developing leadership; to provide a forum for student expression; and to promote the general welfare of the school. Congratulations to the stude nt government for helping to make this The Year That Was. Secretary, Shirley Leviner GIRLS’ STATE Boys ' and Girls ' State are institutions of the American Legion, designed to promote better understanding of our complex political system. But this program means more than that. It means speeches, rallies, political cam¬ paigns, entertainment, athletics, and food, such as it was. Boys ' and Girls ' State are models of society designed to illustrate the practical side of modern political theory. 17
