The gymnasium had been transformed into an en- chanting blue and silver won- derland, For the first time a Junior -Senior P rom featured two orchestras--a full-sized Wooden Soldier Band vied with The Cavaliers, In the soft blue lights the guests soon lost their identity and faded into an ensemble of formally clad figures swaying !,7,, lyfffc, againsta background of mus- icalnotes and a star-studded sky. In the light of a falling star , Pitt Watts and Janice Corbin ascended to the moon where they were crowned King and Queen of the l955 Prom.
