The prom was held in late May at the Long Beach Elks Club. OCC student Penny Smith contributed the theme of the prom which was ttHarbor Lightsft The Elks Club was dec- orated to fill out this theme. On the night of February 11, 1964, groups from such widely separated places as San Bernar- dino and San Diego journeyed to the Paladium in Los Angeles. One of these groups was com- posed of some 100 Orange Coast eastern College students. The occasion was the annual Ea ern Confer- ence dance. The extremely danceable mu- sic was supplied by the talented Elliot Brothers Orchestra. The group is well known in this area for its many appearances at D neyland. conference dance The highlight of the evening came With the crowning 0f the 10 Eastern Conference queens.
