LDS CLUB Promoting Christian fellowship, and offering opportunities for discussion of LDS concepts and doctrines were the main purposes of the Lambda Delta Sigma. Through interesting and stimulating discussion members gained knowledge and fellowship. Newmans participated in conferences with other Newman Clubs, attended barbecues, dances. and Sundav Communion breakfasts. ALPHA GAMMA SIGMA Alpha Gamma Sigma has as its objectives to promote and recognize scholarship, to cultivate fellowship, and to develop character. Alpha Gamma Sigma is a member of the state junior college honor society. Members must have a 3.0 grade point average for three or more semesters plus sixty units to gain life membership. These objectives were achieved by inviting guest speakers, show- ing films, participating in panel discus- sions, and other activities.

The purposes of the Christian Science Organization were many. They were to afford the college com- munity the opportunity of learning the truth about Christian Science; to welcome Christian Scientists en- tering the college and unite them in closer bonds of Christian fellowship; to sponsor a Christian Science lec- ture at least once a year; to cooper- ate with other student religious groups on the campus; and to co- operate with college authorities in participation in projects that pro- mote inter-religious interest.
