Barnacle Staff Printers ' ink and enthusiasm were evident in this year ' s Barnacle staff as they were led by second semester editor Rich Martin and first semester editor Rosann Rhodes. Miss Phyllis Jackson served as the new instructor-advisor for the staff and introduced a beginning journalism class designed to serve as a seminar for new students. Representatives of the staff participated in conferences at UCLA and Redlands. Martin, Miss Rhodes, Miss Jackson and Pham An attended a California National Publishers ' Association gath- ering in San Francisco. Bill Holden and Pete Conoty claimed photography awards for OCC at the Redlands meeting. Observing an editorial policy that directed suggestion and criticism at student government, the administration and student body, the year ended with the Barnacle having made as many enemies as friends. r- ;=;r ' =:- -u:. jr , V ' ,--.
