Something new has been added: a double octet, which is com- posed ofagroup of singers from the choir selected by Mr. Triger. This group has sung for several occasions, the PEO Chapter, MethodistMen's Brotherhood, Spring Concert, and at La Grande. The rest of the choir did a good job of entertaining too. They sang for Kiwanis, Lions, the Farmers' Supply Co-op, P. T. A- , and the Soroptimist Club. The choir made their annual Christmas carolling tour throughout the city and at the hospital. In the spring the entire choir gave a concert at the Pix Theatre. It was a review of several musicals. This concert was agreat success. The choir also went to La Grande for the District Music Clinic. Here Baker, Pendleton, La Grande, St. Francis Academy from Baker and Ontario competed in district competition. 58

eniom reaenl am if? irc e The seniors presented a gay comedy entitled Family Circle on December sixth. The plot concerned the efforts of Cornelia Otis Skinner QRuth Joseph, to become an actress. Although Cornelia's parents Uackie Hawk and Dan Leesj were oblivious to her intentions her friends fTish Belknap, Angela Laca, Elaine Duncan, and Veda Jackson, had great faith in her. Abby, the maid fPaula Smit, and the girls devoted swains fDean Anderson, Don Fenn, Eddie Gheen, and Eugene Conklinj were neatly bewildered by the dramatic activities. As in most plays, there was the happy ending. Mr. Trigero directed the play with his usual success.
