Keep Blount County Beautiful, in a contest which was heltj April 27, 1 981 . All schools within Blount County, grades K-6 were invited to enter the contest. It was sponsored by Blount County Project PRIDE and WRCL- WKLD, During the month of April the chil- dren spent many hours writing, prac- ticing, and performing the skit The teachers were extremely proud of their class for winning because they com- peted with fifth and sixth graders from other schools The skit opened with four children looking for a nice place to eat- Through dialogue and a song. Keep Blount County Beautiful Project PRIDE. written especially for the skit, the children told of the importance of a clean environment.
