Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Cornelious, Mrs. Walker. dad' In 1955, Dr. Ira Patton gave money for a nurses' scholarship in memory of Mr. William H. McDaniel to be used by a graduate of that year who was interested in nursing. It was around this scholarship that the Future Nurses' Club was organized. Its purpose is to promote interest in nursing among the students of Oneonta High School. This year although handicapped by a late start, the F. N.C. carried on the follow- ing activities: Held an annual New Year's Eve dance Kept children during P. T.A. meetings Helped raise money for local charity drives Made a tour of University and Children's hospital in Birmingham For 1960 our nurse sponsor was Mrs. Eugene Gordon and our school sponsor was Miss Anderson.
