Since opening its doors in 1924, North High School has undergone sev- eral changes. It has gained a parking lot on thettsouthpside, a fence,tarou,nd the perimeters, as well as an entire new wing. North has also become a coni- puter magnet, with some of the most modern ,facilities in the city. These were gradual changes, occurring oneat a time, contributingfto the over all growth of the school. ln the next two decades there will be more drastic changes, however, due to a,25-year lan being proposed to the school board.'The proposal, which will ultimlateljy change both the infe- rior andthe exterior of the North facility, is subject to school board approval as well as the availability of funds. i , 1 A forty member committee consisting of North High students, parents, faculty, alumni, and local business persons has made a list of priorities for the years to come.
