Since opening its doors in 1924, North High School has undergone sev- eral changes. It has gained a parking lot on thettsouthpside, a fence, tarou,nd the perimeters, as well as an entire new wing. North has also become a coni- puter magnet, with some of the most modern ,facilities in the city. These were gradual changes, occurring oneat a time, contributingfto the over all growth of the school. ln the next two decades there will be more drastic changes, however, due to a,25-year lan being proposed to the school board.'The proposal, which will ultimlateljy change both the infe- rior andthe exterior of the North facility, is subject to school board approval as well as the availability of funds. i , 1 A forty member committee consisting of North High students, parents, faculty, alumni, and local business persons has made a list of priorities for the years to come. Some ofthese include theialteration and remodeling of the science department, parking lot, foreign language department, tro- phy r,poms,,common areas, athletic, fields and indoor ,facilities Thfijlphanygges would work to make the school look and ieellarger, more comfortable, and more modern to both students and visitors. p N Thoughiclasses '88fthrough '90iwill have graduated ilas l'ong5befor,eIsthes infi- provemehnts are put into effect, North can stillbe a sourceof pride to all co as alllffnn' tothe SFU'-louflflslng 99mmlflmtY' s',s L fi A ' f, '1 ' X f,,,,,,, .K f'f ! sg we so we ff, Iilll 6 'YQQ 5 s ,ff oi qi? ikece, 0 Q2 s k s Q K ff' 1 cb is fgafgi 'ff X JXQX , rv. 2 Q 9 9 ' Ev 'A I I ' X 920 is it i Z 47 V5 O f' O 4, a a , yn, QW? up 9 ,X ff 'K X mg gy gtg i . ff XN C53 9 Gia C23 V , f f ' y.
