Barth Council Represents Students The Student Council is the student gov- erning body. lts members are elected representatives ot each class. The Council worked with both the stu- dents and the taculty to improve school conditions and establish a better student- teacher relationship. Steve Johnson presided over the Coun- cil meetings. l-le was helped by vice-presi- dent, Jack Petersen: secretary, Sue Morris: treasurer, Ron Peterson: and clerk, Malanie Jeub. Selling Viking sweatshirts, pennants, and pencils was the tirst Council proiect. The Fun Night Harvest l-lo-Down came next. hx Douglas Gaeth, Dud Kersey, Rosalie Blank, Kayleen Kleider, Mrs Margaret Henderson. First row: Teri R. Miller, Jim W. Sevela, Tommie J. Alexis, Kay L. Sparck, Jack Petersen, Steve P. Johnson, Malanie D. Jeub, Ron D. Peterson, Susan Morris, Peggy Dennis, Susan Bonnivvell, Mr Jerald J Weber. For the tourth year a Student Council Scholarship was awarded a graduating senior. On March I8, Career Day was given in co-operation with the P-T.A., as another Council project. The Student Commission was made up ot hardworking students who helped to keep North running smoothly. They were under the leadership ot the Council sponsors, Mrs. Josephine Mattox, Mrs. Margaret l-lenderson, Jerald Weber, and Leo R. Taylor.
