These questuons mught tend to leave some people un a quandary but students enrolled un the science department face these and sumu lar querues each day Among the subjects offered by the sux teachers un the department are General Scu ence Physucal Scuence Biology Physics and Chemustry Other features well known to any science student are Bonaparte the buology skeleton, Miss Crocker stackung vertebrae on a pencul and the aroma of rotten eggs emergung from the chemustry lab Nt' Mr Stech locates countrues for World Geography students Learnung enough un two years of mathe matucs to admut a student to a unuversuty us the ultumate purpose of the Functuonal Math ematucs course whuch was offered for the furst tume thus year Thus course whuch has been added on an exp rumental basus us composed enturely of freshmen Over a peruod of two years, aruth metuc algebra geometry and even a luttle trugonometry wull be taught The department whuch consists of seven teachers headed by Muss Pearl McCray boasts an enrollment of lO38 students well over half the enrollment of North Hugh Two extracurrucular clubs the Diguts for upperclassmen and the Fractions for fresh men and sophomores also are a part of the varied actuvutues of the department 5 ' .L I 2 2 - ,, 3 S u ' .
