J Senate HAT select group, composed of some of the ablest students in each class, which acts as the executive committee of the House of Representatives, is known to us as the Senate. Beside considering all unfinished business of the House, the Senate has juris- diction over a variety of other activities which they carry on in a commendable manner. Funds for the School Beautiful Committee and Student Welfare are collected by the Senate. The baskets distributed at Christ- mas and Thanksgiving which bring such happiness to needy families are collected by its members. Senators are also well-known for their excellent work in reference to the planning of projects for the general Welfare of the school. Mr. Glenn, by his unceasing efforts as faculty sponsor, has made of the Senate a school institution respected and honored in the hearts of the student body. UN

'FW 1937 STUDENTS' ASSOCIATICDN OFFICERS SALUTE to the leaders! Even while devoting themselves to their studies, they have been able to pilot our ship of state safely into the port of the world's work. Previously, the members of our class gave strength to the crew, but, on this last leg of our educational voyage, they have held the responsibility of leader- ship. Nobly, indeed, has the task been done. The ability of our captain, Stephen Lax, has brought our vessel successfully across the bar. His sharp eye and steady hand has kept our ship from the rocks of disaster. The passengers are indeed grateful for the ability of their chief officer. Stephen rose with his crew, not from it, and we drop anchor with the knowledge that the class that follows us will have a high standard at which to aim. We are grateful for the persevering and unsung labor that our ship's purser, Virginia Quimby, has given so gladly in her Association. Virginia capacity as Secretary of the Students' has held that position for many terms and has executed her office well. We extend our thanks to the lower class officers of the Students' Association. We owe much of the success of the term to Ruth Ebert, our Vice-President. We will always remember Edward Kane, President of the Senate, who, though still a junior, is one of the most active boys in the school.

House of Representatives E, the class of lune '37, pay a tribute of admiration to the House of Representa- tives. It is the body of students to which We gave our unhesitating faith: through the four years of our sojourn at Olney, we feel that our faith has been justified, and We are gratefully satisfied. We Wish, therefore, to express our grati- tude to all who have given their time and effort to the furtherance of our interests and the interests of the school. Our appreciation is also due to the House of Representatives' able sponsor, Mr. Oeste, who has guided us with the finest leadership on the road of Student Participation. GRADUATING REPRESENTATIVES BK. 1 Walter Arons 2 Raymond Brandau 3 Peter Enderle 4 Robert Harris 5 Barbara Kaesshaefer 6 Robert Marriott 7 Harold Medoff 8 Louis Pfister 9 Ruth Straw IO William Toombs
