'E' S EIVXUR HISTORY Un the morning of September 8 1958, seventy five eager, and studious faces appeared at the portals of U H S From these same freshmen of Q58 would the seniors of 'ME Destined to become a brilliant class from the beginning, we were represented among the favorites that year by Evelyn Perkins, Patti Gilbert, and Wanda McElroy Freshmen parties and the usual freshmen hazing rounded out our fi st year in high school Back with upon well year again as sophomores, we continued our quest for knowledge the disheartening reminder that revenge could not be had the freshmen The class engoyed a sophomore picnic as as numerous other socialss More honors came our way th s with one of our own sophomores, Mary Holler, winning F F A Sweetneart to inaugurate this now annual affair The year was rather uneventful, but being a sophomore meant much to us With the superior attitude of upper classmen, we returned to a seemingly more receptive school in the fall of ' O The year s indeed a busy one with the Juniar Play and numerous other activitieso Most of us felt the responsibility of feeding the seniors at the Junior Senior Banquet, and worked hard to do so After nine months of preparation, the Jun1oreSen1or Banquet and Dance was held, and it brought to an end what was thus far the most enjoyable year of our High School careerso Enrollment day our senior year found 85 reluctant students with the solemn reminder that this was our last year in dear old Oo Hs SQ, but it was also our most enjoyable ones some of the main events of this year were the Senior Party, Senior Dance, Senior Play, and of course, Junior-Senior Banquets The Senior class of 'b2 made a patriotic gesture when it purchased a SlO0.00 defense bond. There was to have been a senior trip, but because of prev- elant war conditions, it was impossible. Class officers for the year included: Buddy Die, President, Evelyn Perkins, Vice Presi- dentg Patti Gilbert, Secretary-Treasurerg Jack Hays, Business Mgro Buddy and Patti also held these same offices in the Student Bodys Baccalaureate, Senior week, Graduation climaxed our most enjoyable year of our High School days, and the memory of our four years in Oo Ho So will long be remembered, A ' ' : -.Jw- f.
