DR. H. W. REED-26 YEARS OF SERVICE Harold W. Reed ' s retirement marks his 26th year of service here at Olivet. The years have moved swiftly and in the words of Anne Morrow Lind- bergh, one is happy doing things, but there is a different kind of happiness that comes from fully realizing after- ward the things done: the recollec- tion-in-tranquility ' feeling that comes when you are alone and quiet and you see your experiences as a whole. ' We are much too near many exciting and wonderful things that are happening on Olivet ' s campus today to view all from ' recollections ' or in ' tranquility. ' Much has happened during this 26- year period. From out of the darkness of those beginning days came a bright and shining promise — GOD IS ABLE! The scope of our program was broadened, dreams and plans were realized, aims and objectives were ful- filled. 21
