'-s:v', A- The Olathe Teaching staff honored outstanding students in various areas at the Blue and Gold Assembly, which was held on June 2, 1978. The Balfour Award which ls based on scholarship, character, attitude and participation was presented to Debi Bar- rientos-the outstanding senior student. Other departments were: MATH: Senior math award-Ken Peterson, Outstand- ing Science - Four Years - Dawn Conner: Algebra II-Lynette Boyd: Geometry-David DeVries: Algebra I-Darlene Golden and Shauna Peterson. FINE ARTS: Outstanding artists - Ed Finnegan and Sandy Mummp Most improved- Kathy Kubin. BUSINESS: Typing I-Tonya Lee and Kay Ferguson-speed: Teresa King 84 Tracy Adams-Accuracy, Lisa Prldy-Outstanding Accounting student: Shorthand II - Outstanding student - Kathleen Macy, Office Practice- Carolyn Berger and the Melltta Davis Award for the outstanding business student - Karen Bollinger.
