Spare hours spent in Gaylord Center One of the centers of activity on cam- pus proved to be the rightly named Gaylord Activity Center. Whether one wanted eating, talking, a warm fire, sport, a card game, or a combination of all these. the Student Center seemed the right place to be. ln the cafeteria, Saga Jim impressed the students with his culinary cunning, adding his distinct personality to his version of a home cooked meal. From the Post Office to the Presidents Dining Room. the Stu- dent Center proved one of the nicer at- tractions on campus. CARD games gain popularity as players and fans gather around the game table. Visitors to the World Mission Workshop, Lectureship guests. and Homecoming alumni found the campus looking different this year than when they last visited. With the completion of the Garvey Fine Arts Center, students began to take alternate routes to chapel. In the hard winter of this year, students also found detours around drifts and icy slopes in efforts to get to classes without the aid of snow shoes. BLOWING snow becomes a familiar condition as students trudge from the Gaylord Activity Center.
