Track team claims Texoma Championship The OCC track team, under head coach Raymond Vaughn, enjoyed another successful season as they placed 5 team members on the elite All- American squad and broke four school records. The Eagles completed the season by capturing the District 9 cham- pionship and placing 30th out of a strong field of 63 teams in the NAIA Outdoor Meet. Danny Neugent earned All-American status for the second year in a row in the Hammer Throw event. Joining Neugent on the All-American squad was Ron Love. Bob Smith, Tom Story and Gary Tatum. The school records broken were the High Jump, 800 yard run, Steeplechase and the Sprint Medley. Bob Bayless and Tom Story paced the Eagle team as the two top point scorers on the team. OCC trackster.
