Cross Country wins three championships The OCC cross country team finished in the top ten for the second consecutive year, as they placed eighth in the NAIA National Championships. Tom Story became the second runner in OCC history to achieve All American status, as he finished twentieth in a field of four hundred and eleven runners. Ron Love was close behind as he finished thirtieth, followed by Dave Cooper, seventy- seventh. Mike Herndon finished eight- ieth and Mike lVIcGarry took one hun- dred and sixteenth. I-lead coach Randy Heath guided his runners to their fifth straight OCC Invitational and District Nine championship. They. also claimed the Texoma Conference for the fourth year in a rovv. MOVING into the lead, OCC tracksters run a familiar course during the OCC Invitational.
