The expression of their love has been shown to others in the pinning. It is for them to understand its full and secret meaning. Their respect for one another has built a faith that they will renew again and again in moments such as this one . . . No longer alone, their growth must now be together . . . 25

PF 1 Winter takes them unaware . Winter blankets this place with solitude and (or the follow- ing months you are forced to work indoors. There will be moments when this place will seem unreal in its crystal love- liness . . . know these moments ... do not let them escape your awareness because they too are a part of the meaning to be realized here. Yet even this is a solitary awareness, and its meaning extends only to the individual. The solitude gives a chance for introspection. It becomes a time when you can take hold of an idea and say. This I believe . . . I ' ll remember this. It will be o time of growth with those around you. Now is when the exchange of ideas reaches its peak. Books come alive under the probing gaze of the Inquiring mind. Education becomes meaningful in these months as the student learns and knows a purpose all his own.
