Have we ever tried on u bet to see how long we could remain perfectly motionless? If we have, then we appreciate the fate of mankind — to be in perpetual motion. Motion can go to any extreme: the coordinated rhythmic motion of a cheerleader as he gestures and moves to a beat — the less rhythmic but equally vibrant response of the crowd: the lethargic stretch as we try to arise from the haven of our beds — or the casual tatoo of our fingers as the rest of our body attempts immobility. We move across the campus with irregularities, sometimes steadily, sometimes casually. Olten m groups we push down the streets of the town, making our way with force and spirit that belongs to us. And then too, we (iccasion illy lose the force of grouping and determinedly head our own way, singularly m motion, but still moving — still perpetually in motion. Wc sit and watch the lake ripple along, or sit and watch the world go by and even then we tap our feet, switch positions, turn our head to see another part of the view. Perpetually in motion. Even now as we read this page we scratch our head or finger the page, for our energy, our spirit, our enthusiasm cries for release — release found through motion. : f
