Next morning may find him occupied with the family matter of a worried veteran, writing a letter of recommenda- tion for a job seeking senior, or straight- ening out some major campus problem, but this evening reading a bedtime story to his family is much more immediate. irma e. voigt dean of deans Seen crossing the campus daily. Dean Irma Voigt and her dog. Lady, are familiar figures to students and faculty alike. The first dean of women at Ohio University, the dean finishes thirty-six years of service on the faculty, having revealed her plans to re- tire to private life this year. Leader and adviser of campus women since 1913, the dean has been an important part of the progress of the university and the growth of self-government for students. Dean of Deans, Irma Voigt will be sorely missed for her leadership in student activities and her understanding of student problems.
