MEN ' S UNION PLANNING BOARD FIRST ROW: Chuck Rhoads. Jack Neenan, Paul Clarke, Kenton Ray. SECOND ROW: Jim Dehnke, Bill Smith. Ray Sturm, Nick Alexander, Orville Riser, Bill Dietrich, Al Sollez, Rocky Russo, Dean Hunkins. The executive body of the Men ' s Union, the Men ' s Union Planning Board, provides a social program for the cam- pus at large and especially for the more than 4,000 men on campus. It functions as the men ' s administrative body in campus student government and spon- sors all-campus traditional events. The registration hop and the fresh- man mixer started the activities in Sep- tember, along with the intramural tour- naments in billiards, chess and bridge. October saw over 2,000 students trek to Western Reserve for the annual Migra- tion Day. Homecoming with its gala floats, house decorations and Home- coming Queen was one of the year ' s highlights. Climaxing the football sea- son, MUPB sponsored Dad ' s Day, which included a weekend of entertainment. This year donations were made to YMCA and the Rec Hall to meet ex- penses and furnish newspapers. $800 was put into the Men ' s Union Loan Fund. In the spring the all men ' s show, the Rodeo, wound up OU ' s greatest year. The Men ' s Union sponsors the men ' s small sports program, and gives the Homecoming float awards. 28
