Timlin If we are agreed that The legitimate aim of war is a more per- fect peace there can be no postponement to a vague future of the problems which lie ahead. The faculty and students of Ohio University hove recognized the challenge. Since a sleepy Sunday afternoon in December, 1941, we have risen to the task . . . Col- lege is still college. But it has taken on a new significance: it has become a source of supply for man power in the immediate job of winning the war; it has also become a training ground for the future of America . . . We have not lost our youth, or our sense of humor, or our perspective. We strive not only to preserve those institutions which are a valuable part of college tradition, but also to adapt those institutions to present exigencies of war and to the practical realities of future peace.
