Geology and astronomy offer knowledge in everything from how the earth was formed to how this planet functions in its minute portion of space. Students who take only one or two courses in these subjects may never fully realize how insig- nificant they and their long hours of study for midterms are when compared to the billions of other worlds there must be in space.
