Lowell Howard was the president of the L ' niversity Student Bar Associa- tion, and Ralph Mahaffey and Richard Penn were, respectively, vice-president and treasurer of the organization. Social activities for this organization are planned on a year-round schedule. During Simi- iiier ()uarter, 19-19, two fraternity picnics were held. On one occasion members held a picnic jointly with another legal fraternity. A feature of the Fall Quarter was the Homecoming celebra- tion. () er 300 active members, pledges, and auunni were invited. 1 he social program for the Winter Quarter centered upon the rushing and pledging of new mem ' jers. Prospective Freshmen were entertained at a stag party in February. 1 his linu tion was followed by two special dinner meet- ings, at which President Fievis and Judge Rose were the speakers. In ? Iay the national fraternity celef)rated its fiftieth anniversary on Founder s Day. Chase Senate joined the Columbus alumni chapter in celebration of the event.
