OMPARED with the history of Princeton University, which has just celebrated its sesquilcentennial, or with that of Yale, which is approaching its tworhundredth birthday, or with that of Harvard, which commemorated its two hundred and fiftieth anniversary more than ten years ago, the annals of our own University are but short. Compared with the most ancient universities of Europe, it is but an infant of days.
