Senior Class History We began our high school years as Freshmen, September lU, I96I, with twenty-seven members in the class. Our class sponsor was Mr, Matthias. Our class officers were! President; Mary Ina McConn, Vice President; Cindy Dull, Secretary; Jill Shaw, Treasurer; Annelle Doan, and our Homecoming attendant was Linda Simon, We returned to school to start our Sophmore year on September 11, 1962 with still twenty-seven members, although we lost fo ir, but also gained four, Mr, Ron Matthias was again our sponsor. Our class officers were: President; Arlene Witten, Vice President; Neila Prichard, Secretary; Linda Simon, Treasurer; Dorothy Mathew, Our Homecoming attendant was Arlene Witten. We took two class trips that year; in November I962, we went to Chicago to the Museum of Natural History, then in May, 1963, we went back to Chicago to the Museum of Science and Industry. A big event of the year was in March when we ordered our class rings. We began our profitable Junior year with 26 member on the class roll. We had lost four and gained three. Our class sponsor for that year was Mr, David Leiendecker, Our class officers for that year were: President; Arlene Witten, Vice President; Ron Kline, Secretary; Jill Shaw, Treasurer; Dorothy Mathew, Our Homecoming attendant was Neila Prichard. Our big events that year were; getting our class rings. Junior class play; Half Past Teen, and the Junior-Senior Prom; Harbor Lights. We also chose our class colors which are magenta and white, also the class flower which is a magenta tipped carnation. We began our final year at O.C.L. with 25 class members, we had lost four and gained three. Our class sponsor for that year was Mr. Robert Lybeirger. The class officers were; President; Tom Chilcote, Vice President; Rick Rosendahl, Secretary; Penney Gouts, Treasurer; Dorothy Mathew, our Homecoming attendant was Penney Couts and the Queen, Neila Prichard. Our magazines sales totaled $778.9 ' . We had a successful Senior class play I Was A Teenage Dracula, which was directed by Mr. Robert Stahl, It was so successful that we gave a second performance. We took two class trips this year. On May 19 we went to Columbus and toured the Capital Building, on June 3 we went to Detroit and toured Greenfield Village, The Ford Motor Plant; we also took a boat cruise to Bob-lo Island, Our Valedictorian was Rick Rosendahl, and co-salutatorians, Annelle Doan and Arlene Witten, We ended our years at 0,C.L. on June 6 with Baccalaureate in the afternoon and Commencement in the evening.
