ZND ROW: Mr. Hadley, Charlotte Pollak, Marcia Walters, Helen Walls Kaye Roller, Ruby Taylor, Wanda Kohn, Janice Gardner, Marilyn Rickard, Shirley High, Dixie Clouse. 3RD ROW: David Smalley, Dick Prior, Bob Ames, James Hoverman, John Slagle, Bob Spitler, Roger Snyder, Albert Hofmann, 4TH ROW: Gaylord Smith, Darrell Brand, Kent Jones, Don Dibert, Norman Moore, Jerry Kohn, Ronnie Brown, On the first day of school, thirty-one Freshmen were found wondering about the corridors of good O. C. L. After finally finding the right room for the right class at the right time, we elected our class officers. They were Pres. David Smalley, Vice Pres, Ronnie Brown, Sec. Helen lVlerkle, Treas. Shirley High and class sponsor, lVlr. Hadley. A bake sale put some more money in our class treasury which will need to be well filled for that Junior-Senior Prom in 1954. All work and no play makes .Tack a dull boy, So to remedy that we had a skating party, Our class took their part of the responsibility for the School Carnival and helped to make it a success. Nancy Spharr and David Smalley were our candidatesfor Carnival King and Queen. We were also well represented on the baseball and basketball teams, and especially in the cheering section. Z8
