Did you know us then? We were happy go lucky eighth graders. There were Z5 of us, but only 14 have gone on to graduation. Floyd Spitler, Betty Mottinger, Melvin Agler, and Vivian Busch felt that rnatrimony was for them. Jack Priddy, Ralph Schaadt, and Bob Stratton left our fair school to attend Van Wert, and Lima Central respectively, Mary Carr and Marcella Stetler felt that they were able to work their own way, so they left us also. This was the year that we graduated for the first time. A graduation exercise for the eighth grade was held. We were the first class to have an eighth grade graduation exercise. We even received diplomas. These were only fake though. We didn't receive the real ones until we had taken our semester exam. This ended our happy years in the grades.
