The laTesT developmenT Trom The Gensville Gulch GazeTTe is nailed To The nearesT coTTon wood and a day on The ranch is well under way. A caTTlemen's meeTing is held TirsT and The origin, hisTory and rules of The WesT are considered. All cowpokes musT pass This hurdle in order To compeTe in The rodeo held early in The spring oT The year. NexT a liTTle recreaTion geTs under way wiTh lariaT Throwing and bronc busTing. IT is now abouT The middle oT The morning and some oT The hands reTire To The bunkhouse where They polish Their gear and ready Themselves Tor The resT oT The day. OThers go on The ride To The Gulch where The money maTTers are Taken care of and The Tinancial siTuaTion of The Spread is balanced up. JusT before chuck, The cowpokes divide inTo Two groups: one does a liTTle pracTicing on branding while The oThers go over The land and inspecT The grazing lands and waTer supply. Chuck! And There is a mad rush To The chow line and plenTy oT good Tood.
