Shaifei' be-'ame the lot-al superintendent and remained so for twelve years. At the same time he was made the district super- intendent. Five years later he withdrew as district superintendent and devoted his time to the Ohio City-Liberty student body. For twenty years he was directly connected with our school. Under Mr. Sh,aft'er's leadership, Latin, Chemise try, French and biology were added to the schol- astic courses. In 1933 he was made Van Wert County Superintendent. We wish to express our deep appreciation to Mr. Shaffer for the' splendid things he has done for our school.
