A few days later I left New York and went to Hollywood, Here I found two of my girl friends, Mary Stemen and Margaret Wisea Mary is Warner Bros. head beauty operator and Mar- garet is private secretary to Harry Pomeroy. It was soon time for me to journey on. My next stop was Florida. Here I stayed at the Matthews hotel. Mrs. Matthews was the former Kathryn Profit, In Chicago, my next stop, I found Russel Roberts who is owner of Chicago's most exclusive night club. I also met his wife, Gnce more I went back to New York but this time only long enough to book passage on the ship the nfersian to go to Europe. While I was making this trip, the ship's dance band under the direction of Bob Johnson, was awarded a radio contractg During this voyage I also saw thc former Esther Erica and her husband who were making their annual trip to Europo4 In England a grave crisis was again con- fronting thc nationa King George Vlll was con- sidering abdicating his throne for the love of an American woman, Luolla Segerl I wonder if the English uon't change their slogan nGod save the kingn to 'God save the king from American women'? in Paris, France I was much surprised to seo Mabel Johnson and Glendora Stump. Mabel is studying music and Glendora is an American designer who is designing American gowns for the French.
