M agzc Carpet As we ily over New York Clty on our Maglc Carpet, we see a large crowd of people amblxng up Wall Street towards the Waldorf Hotel The people rush for the door, trlpplng over each other ln a mad fury to get 1ns1de We wonder what IS xnsxde that 15 so rmportant to cause such a rlot We flnally push our way through the doors onto a large dance floor wlth very luxunous surroundmgs To the front of the danc floor there IS a stage where we flnd Don Gale, who 15 leadlng h1s famxlar Tone Ett Dance Orchestra We walk over to h1m and ex change a few words wxth hxm and fxnally tt 15 tlme to go agaxn He 1nv1tes anyone of us who has music al ab1l1ty to play ln h1s orchestra, but no one seems to be muslcally 1l'lClll'l9d so we board our Carpet and we re off Thts trme our Maglc Carpet takes us to the Afrlcan jungles where we flnd many dlfferent lunds tures we f1nd Wxlmet Skxles who IS performlng an experlment on a poor black beetle Wllmet gently cracks the beetle over the head wlth a small rub ber mallot belng careful not to smash any of the valuable parts of the bug After she has drsmantled the beetle pxece by plece, and ftnally reached lts backbone she tells us the obje t and the result of her experxment We talk a lxttle about the good tlmes We all had back at dear old O H S Wllmet tells us she IS studylng to become a bugolog1st It IS txme to go agaln and we are swlshed away on our Magxc Carpet Our Carpet takes us to the sunny south where we fxnd Ixlarcelene Innes statwned at the Naval Arr Statlon at Pensacola, Florxda lvlarcelene lS a Navy nurse at the base hospltal A very good fr1end of hers B111 Marlatt lS a doctor there As we approach J 2 the operatlng room at the hosp1tal we f1nd B111 and Marcelene patrently operatmg on some poor sarlor Marcelene IS adnnmsterlng an anesthetlc to quxet the patlent Marcelene talks to us for awhlle and f1nally 15 e .
