Ma Seahawks Bash With the Monster Mash n Monday, October 31st students and faculty members participated in O.V.'s Halloween Dress-Up day. Students and teachers came to school in their bizarre, colorful costumes to show their Halloween spirit. Passing through the halls one could see the expressed imagina- tions of OVs Goblins. During lunch a contest was held in the theater area for those who par- ticipated. Awards were given to such 56 Halloween winners as Sam Perriconne, Tracy Waselweski, Bevanne Griskonis, Leeann Herdman, Richard Smith, Jeff Zitco and Theresa Miller. All win- ners received cash prizes donated by the ASB, from the financial office. If you were of the audience and saw ballerinas dancing through the theater stage, or Pac-man eating up a storm don't fret it was only OV's teachers and students participating in the Graveyard Bash. She Doesn 't Like Water, C.C.!! I I he Diviners is a touching story of a simple-minded girl, Buddy, learning not to be afraid of water by a disenchanted preacher, C. C. Showers. Buddy completely trusting of anybody and everybody soon makes a friend when C. C. Showers comes to Zion to get away from preaching and the world of Gospels. He helps Buddy to overcome her fear of water so she can wash and cure her ringworm that invades her whole body. The plot comes to the climatic point when Showers and Buddy are wading and Norma along with the rest of the town come down to witness the event. The mob of people 1. Tim Campbell, Dwight Holland, Carry Beatty and Laurie Merrick set the mood mood for the Diviners in the first elegy. 2. Melvin, Basil, and Dewey. Performed by Tim Campbell, Dwight Holland andTrey Jones. 3. Birds are Blue, CC? 4. Ferris lDavid Chambersj welcomes Showers lJohn Masseyl to Zoin. Fall Play f divert Showers attention from Buddy to them mean while, Buddy liking the water wades out too far. Showers tries vainly to save the drowning child but fails.
