SENIOR PLAY CAST Dick Aughenbaugh, Lee Smith, Peter Arnold, Mrs. Nairn, director, James Getty, Ralph Fox. Seated: Joan Young, Beverly Berg, Mary Lou Habecker, Nellie Walker, Barbara Stechow. Not pictured: Mr, Richard Hoops, assistant director. Dear Ruth, a two-act farce by Norman Krasna, was presented by the senior class in Hall Auditorium on April 9 and 10. The large stage of the auditorium and its ex- cellent lighting and orchestra facilities provided staging effects and background never possible before. The fine directing of Mrs. Nairn, assisted by Richard Hoops, an Oberlin College student, plus the hard Work of a good cast resulted in a most enjoyable presentation of a good play. In this hilarious comedy, a young girl corre- sponds romantically with a soldier overseas, using U31 the name and picture of her older sister, Ruth. Ruth is already engaged and when the soldier comes home unexpectedly, a most amusing and complicated situation results. The cast were: Dora, the maid-Nellie Walker, Mrs. Edith Wilkins-Barbara Stechow, Miriam Wilkins-Mary Lou Habecker, Judge Harry XVilkins-Ralph Fox, Ruth Wilkins- Joan Young, Lt. William Seawright-Dick Aughenbaugh, Albert Kummer-jim Getty, Martha Seawright--Beverly Berg, Sgt. Chuck Vincent-Lee Smith, Harold Klobbermeyer- Peter Arnold.
